SMS Alert
Send an SMS alert to an international mobile phone number when particular
Pachube
datastream conditions are met. You can set an alert on anybody's public datastreams, not just your own! Makes use of Pachube's
trigger
functionality.

Provide an international mobile number:
Please enter below the mobile number to send the SMS to - enter only numbers, and exactly as it would be dialled (e.g. remove the leading '0' from area code if necessary).

Area code
Number
For a UK mobile number enter something like: '44' '7777' '555555'.
For a US mobile number enter something like: '1' '212' '5551212'.
Then click here when you are ready!
Almost done! Now all you need to do is...
First, login to Pachube and locate the
Pachube feed
you want to add the SMS alert to.
Then, under the relevant datastream, click 'embed, history, triggers, etc' and supply the following URL:
in the box labelled 'Add trigger'.
Set the condition and triggering value as required. Pachube triggers currently "fire continuously", at 5 minute intervals, so if the datastream condition is maintained then you will continue to receive messages.
Finally, click 'create' to register the trigger. If you like, you can also click 'debug' to test that you actually receive the SMS - it should arrive pretty quickly. If it doesn't, check the phone number is correct in the URL you supplied.
Important: this URL
will not
work if you just paste it in your browser. You must add it as a trigger to a Pachube datastream in order to see any results. For more info on how to use triggers,
