Version: Alpha 0.01
Porthole, powered by Pachube, is an augmented reality (AR) application that provides a view into the 'internet of things' data environments hosted by Pachube.
It overlays realtime sensor data on your camera view and enables you to query the current status of sensor environments - to view quickly what types of sensor datastreams are present (e.g. light, humidity, electricity, air quality, etc.); what their current values are in relation to historical maxima and minima; how much they have varied over the last 24 hours; and graph the values of each datastream in 15 minute intervals over the last 24 hours.
We're testing on a variety of platform combos, but Porthole is currently a first alpha release, so it may (will) be buggy - please let us know by email at apps | at | pachube | dot | com if you have any problems.

Step 2: Generate a Porthole marker and print it out
Enter the Pachube feed number you are interested in monitoring in the box below and click "Generate Porthole".When the marker has appeared above, print it out and affix to a firm surface.
Step 3: Fire up Porthole!
Start the Porthole application and point the camera at any Porthole marker. When it has identified a marker, a white box will appear around it. At that point, click the 'space' bar to open up the 'porthole' to Pachube... Then you can use the following keys to modulate the view:Keys: Space open up porthole to Pachube k display keyboard shortcuts o display datastream variation over the last 24 hours l display datastream values vs. historical max/min h display 24 hour history graph Up / Down select history graph for different datastreams Left / Right scroll through historical values of selected datastream s load camera settings
